AIMS has kickstarted the new academic year with Fresher’s Week, a week which is designed to help the new students transition into their new life as medical students with more ease.
Within this prolonged week, we organize social events, such as bowling, beer garden, team building, pub quiz, and interfaculty parties. This year, we have also added a trip outside of Prague, to the Kačina chateau and Kutná Hora. Aside from the social events, there are also more educative events, such as “How to survive 1st year” lecture and a mental health lecture. We also coordinate with the school to organize the White Coat Ceremony at the Profesní Dům, a tradition, in which the students receive a white coat and recite the Hippocratic oath.
