Website Accessibility Statement

Charles University Faculty of Medicine in Motol is committed to making the content of its websites accessible in accordance with Act No. 99/2019 Coll. on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications and on the Amendment of Act No. 365/2000 Coll. on Public Administration Information Systems and on Amendments to Certain Other Acts, as amended, implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This Accessibility Statement applies to the website under the lf2.cuni.cz domain.

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with Act No. 99/2019 Coll., as amended, due to the non-compliance and exceptions listed below.

Non-accessible Content

The content listed below is not accessible:

  1. due to non-compliance with Act No. 99/2019 Coll., as amended;
    • Links on preview images in photo galleries do not contain text descriptions, and images lack alternative text (WCAG 2.1 criteria 1.1.1 and 2.4.4). Given the large number of photographs and the website operator’s resources, providing meaningful alternative text for all photographs would impose a disproportionate burden (pursuant to Section 7 of the Act).
    • Some documents published on the website in PDF format are not fully accessible (not all information in the documents is available in text form and is therefore only available as an image). Full remediation of these documents would be complex and time-consuming. However, in the interest of accessibility, the number of such documents is kept to the minimum possible. If you encounter such a document and require it in a fully accessible format, please contact @email.
  2. because it falls outside the scope of the applicable legislation;
    • Videos published on the website do not contain captions, audio descriptions, or text alternatives (WCAG 2.1 criteria 1.2.1 and 1.2.2), pursuant to the exemption provided by Section 13(4) of Act No. 99/2019 Coll.
