Dean´s Provision No. 8/2020

Scholarships from specific university research funds
 

Art. 1
Introductory Provisions

In accordance with Article 4, paragraph 2 of the Scholarship and Bursary Rules at the Second Faculty of Medicine of Charles University (hereinafter referred to as "SBR"), the Dean of the Second Faculty of Medicine of Charles University (hereinafter referred to as the "Second Faculty of Medicine, CU") regulates the conditions and rules for payment scholarships from specific university research funds.

Art. 2

Conditions and rules for the payment of scholarships from specific university research funds
 

1. Students of a full-time doctoral study programme who participate in specific university research (hereinafter referred to as "SUR") may be awarded a scholarship by the Dean on the proposal of the SUR researcher in the amount specified in the Annex to this Provision.

2.  Based on the submitted documents, the Dean may grant a student of a doctoral study programme in full-time study a scholarship from the funds of specific university research with the consent of the SUR researcher to the extent specified in Annex No. 1 of this Provision, if:

a. the student provides confirmation of receipt of the publication with the impact factor;

b. the student is the main researcher of the GA CU project.

3. A 5th year student who participates in the SUR project and who is admitted to the MD., PhD. Programme, may be awarded a scholarship of CZK 10,500 by the Dean with the consent of the SUR researcher.

4. The scholarship is paid by bank transfer to the student's account, the number of which the student has stated in the Study Information System. In the case of a monthly payment, the scholarship is paid no later than the 20th day of the calendar month.

5. The student applies to the Dean of the faculty for the award of a scholarship from SUR funds in the form of a written application, or the Dean may award such a scholarship even without submitting such an application or on the basis of a proposal by the researcher. 

 Art. 3

Final Provisions

1.  This Dean's provision becomes valid and effective on the date of the Dean's signature.

2.  This provision cancels Article 4 of Dean's Provision No. 6/2018 and part of Annex No. 1. - Scholarships from funds for specific university research, which is part of Dean's Provision No. 6/2018.

3. Part of this Dean's provision is Annex No. 1 - Scholarships from funds from specific university research.
