The White Coat Ceremony is the highlight of Orientation Week, which helps first-year international students start their studies in a foreign country. This year, the ceremony was held on 27 September.

A team from the Second Faculty of Medicine, consisting, of two 6th year students, Miray Güney and Gonçalo Ferrão, and their mentor, Dr. Andrea Zajacová, attended the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress, which took place in Vienna at the beginning of September. While Gonçalo presented his poster, Miray's abstract was selected for a short oral presentation.

Charles University is the recipient of the prestigious "HR Excellence in Research" award, which it received from the European Commission in February 2019. This award recognizes Charles University's progress in aligning their human resources policies to the 40 principles of the Charter & Code, based on a customized action plan/HR strategy.
