An interview with Prof. John G. R. Jefferys, an awarded neuroscientist, on epilepsy research and succeeding in the international field of medicine.

On Friday, November 12, a ceremony was held at the Department of Anatomy of the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, to honor the memory of body donors for anatomical purposes. The heart-shaped linden tree, which was planted here in cooperation with the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, will bear wooden leaves on its branches with the first names of the donors.

An interview with Hamideh Nami, an Iranian student of our faculty, about the current situation in her homeland and a statement of the Dean, Prof. Marek Babjuk. "My hopelessness was the soil and Mahsa Amini's death was the water and sunlight that the seed of our hope needed," Hami says.

 

Professor Mikael Karlberg from Lund University experienced on his own when the vestibular system is disabled. His lecture at the Neurootology Day in Motol will be also about this experiment. 

Head emeritus of the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, Second Medical Faculty, Charles University and Motol University Hospital, prof. Jan Starý, was awarded the prestigious prize of the Neuron Foundation in the field of medicine on 16 October.
