Admission Procedure

After completing their secondary school education students are admitted to the Faculty on the basis of an admission procedure.

Duly completed application forms certified by a doctor and the document on payment of the administrative fee for the admission procedure are accepted by the Study Department of the Faculty in the term prescribed for the submission of application forms to study at the University and stated by the Rector of the University; the application forms of international students for the parallel study programme provided in English shall be sent by the end of August of the preceding academic year.

The admission procedure for M.D. programme consists of two stages. Applicants interested in the study of medicine shall take a first-stage test in biology, physics and chemistry. An examination testing applicants´ general ability for the study of medicine follows. Tests are processed by computer. Test tasks, mentioned above, cover a secondary-school curriculum. The Faculty has published three handbooks of tasks (chemistry, physics and biology test handbooks), which can be bought in the Study Department at the Faculty. Applicants with best first stage results shall take the second stage of the entrance examination. Applicants should prove, in an interview, their interest in the chosen field, ability to reason and they should be able to defend their own opinion. No notice is taken concerning the secondary school results.

The admission procedure for Bachelor's programme of Physiotherapy consists of two stages. In the first stage the applicants shall take tests in physics, biology and chemistry. Applicants with best first stage results shall take the second stage of the entrance examination. Applicants should prove, in an interview, their interest in the chosen field, ability to reason and they should be able to defend their own opinion.

Only applicants with the best results in the first stage will be interviewed.
