The agenda of the academic senate was opened by doc. MUDr. Petr Zoban, CSc. who welcomed all the present members of the senate namely the guests of the session – prof. MUDr. Josef Koutecký, DrSc., prof. RNDr. Václav Pelouch, CSc., doc. MUDr. Jiřina Bartůňková, DrSc., doc. MUDr. Jana Hercogová, CSc., prof. MUDr. Jan Herget, DrSc., Eva Kuželová, prof. MUDr. Jiří Neuwirth, CSc. and Mgr. Marie Šamánková.

Dean of the Faculty

• informed the senate about the letter from the Minister of Health Care of the Czech Republic with which she has established the Clinic of Cardiosurgery of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine and the Motol University Hospital, the Clinic of Pneumology of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine and the Clinic of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine.
• The accreditation was not granted to the Bachelor study course in Optics and Optometrics. The Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic did not approve the licence of the graduates to perform the medical profession and starting from the academic year 2003/2004, the Faculty will not open this study programme.
• The extra bonuses were paid to the employees of the Faculty in the salaries for December 2002.
• Lastly the Dean thanked to the present members of the senate for good cooperation in the past period.

 
The academic senate invited the sponsors of the newly established study programmes to discuss the organizational provision of the education. The senate requested the information in these aspects:

• The syllabi of the individual programmes (theoretical and practical parts of teaching).
• The personnel ensuring of the education (number of teachers, from their own workplaces, from other workplaces of the Faculty, external workplaces).
• The numbers of the lessons taught (in total per teacher).
• Requirements for the extension of teaching load by the Faculty, in other forms (and which types).
• Percentage proportion of the workplace of the expert (professional), sponsor other participating workplaces in the implementation of the education.
• Requirements for the technical equipment.
• Capacity possibilities of the particular workplace regarding provision of the present study programmes.
• Financial demands to ensure the teaching of the given programme.
   

The Secretary of the Faculty spoke about the financial securing of the newly established study programmes. There was elaborated a developmental programme for the individual study programmes and applications for subsidies submitted. The allotment of the subsidy will be conditioned by the number of students registered. From which follows, that there will be no subsidy for the year 2003, the developmental programme is a bridging form od the financing of these programmes.
