Prizes of the Czech Immunological Society were reaped by scientists from Motol Immunology

At its December meeting, the Czech Immunological Society awarded its prizes. Four scientists from the Second Faculty of Medicine and their teams were successful. Congratulations to Prof. Jitka Palich Fučíková, Dr. Zuzana Paračková, Dr. Veronika Kanderová and Mgr. Jitka Smetanová.

Prof. Jitka Palich Fučíková won the 1st prize of Milan Pospíšil, Mario Campa and Franco Mosca for her article An Autologous Dendritic Cell Vaccine Promotes Anticancer Immunity in Patients with Ovarian Cancer with Low Mutational Burden and Cold Tumors. The artical was published in Clinical Cancer Research in 2022.

RNDr. Zuzana Paračková, PhD., also recevied 1st prize of Milan Pospíšil, Mario Campa a Franca Mosca for her artical Immunomodulation of neutrophils and platelets by TNF blockage in patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

Second prize of Milan Pospíšil, Mario Campa a Franco Mosca for the artical Early-onset pulmonary and cutaneous vasculitis driven by constitutively active SRC-family kinase HCK published in 2022 wass awarded RNDr. Veronika Kanderová, Ph.D.

Mgr. Jitka Smetanová succeded with her artical Immunogenicity and safety of the booster BNT162b2 vaccine in patients with axial spondyloarthritis treated with biological disease-modifying drugs. She received Second prize of Jaroslav Šterzel for young immunologists under 35.
