The minute of 1st session of AS CU 2nd FM 16th January 2002

 
Doc. MUDr. Petr Zoban, CSc. opened the academic senate meeting, welcomed the present members of the academic senate and gave a special cordial reception to the meeting guests prof. MUDr. Josef Koutecký, DrSc., prof. RNDr. Václav Pelouch, CSc., doc. MUDr. Jana Hercogová, CSc., prof. MUDr. Jiří Šnajdauf, DrSc., prof. MUDr. Jan Hergert, DrSc. and Ing. Eva Kuželová.

  1. The Faculty Management concluded the first round of the Departments´and Clinics´ evaluations. With regards to the given criteria, the Departments and Clinics are divided into 5 groups and these will be taken into consideration when the personal bonus payments for each workplace are defined. The heads of the Departments or the Clinics will distribute the total sum of the personal bonus payment to the employees according to their merits.
  2. On instruction of the Bulovka Teaching Hospital Director, No. 2 of 7. 1. 2002 the organizational structure of the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Bulovka Teaching Hospital is being changed this way: starting from 1. 2. 2002 two subjects will cooperate:
     1. The Institute of Forensic Medicine of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine and the Teaching Hospital Bulovka in Prague – the Head prof. MUDr. Ivan Bouška, CSc., together with the Subdepartment of Forensic Medicine IPVZ in Prague directed by doc. MUDr. Klír.
     2. The Institute of Forensic Medicine of Teaching Hospital Bulovka, run by the senior consultant MUDr. Michal Beran.
  3. On February the 7th 2002 we will celebrate 100 years since the foundation of the Czech Paediatric Hospital. Following the agreement with the Director of the Motol University Hospital official celebrations of this anniversary will be organized.

  the Subdean of the Study Affairs of the Theoretical and Preclinical Subjects
   
  1. The international students have repeatedly complained about the poor quality of their education in English led by Assistent Professors. The Faculty Management will keep on discussing the matters with the international students representative.
  2. The Subdean Mr. Pelouch informed about the offer of educational stays abroad, the application forms are available both on www pages and at the Head of the Study Department.
  3. The changes concerning the extension of the study year due to the educational stay abroad will not be recorded in the internal regulations. The year extension is sufficiently treated in the present internal regulations of the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University.
  4. The attendance of students in optional subjects will be observed more carefully by the Study Department of the Dean´s Office.
  5. The Subdean Mr. Pelouch reported on the discussion concerning the written part of the second round of the entrance examinations. The entrance examinations for the study year 2002/2003 will be organized in the same way as it was in the preceding year.

  1. The Subdean Mr. Hergert invited the students to take part in ‘The Students Scientific Conference’ which is to be held in April 2002.

1. MUDr. Ing. Jan Vejvalka will be invited to discuss the layout of the faculty www pages at the next academic senate meeting (unification of the pages of the particular Departments and Clinics – the layout of the pages).
2. Doc. MUDr. Vilma Marešová, CSc., the Head of the Clinic of Infectious Diseases informed the senate about the connection of the Clinic pages to the University pages.
