Department of Orthopaedics

Departmental Focus:

The department provides full orthopaedic care for both paediatric and adult patients. The department is engaged in the complete traumatology of the musculoskeletal system of paediatric and adult patients. In paediatric orthopaedics, the department provides surgical treatment of neurogenic disorders of the musculoskeletal system and all congenital defects of the musculoskeletal system. The department specializes in extremity lengthening, spinal surgery and surgical treatment of the malignancies of the musculoskeletal system. Arthroscopic surgery of big joints is performed both in paediatric and adult patients. The department is active in the research of degenerative cartilage disorders and solves these problems by means of both conservative and surgical methods. The joint replacement of the whole extent is performed at an adult age, in paediatric and adolescent congenital defects. The department performs regular surgery of congenital defects and spinal degenerative disorders.
