The course How to be a master and not a slave of clinical research

The course How to be a master and not a slave of clinical research is intended for all postgraduate students interested in research, especially clinical research. However, the main aim of the course is not to teach participants statistical methods so that they can use them completely independently, but to have a basic understanding of statistical methods and to know when and what method to use. The interactive focus of the course is important, so participants are asked to bring their laptop or other spreadsheet tool.

In addition to statistical methods, the course also covers other aspects of (clinical) research, including interesting topics such as unethical practices (plagiarism, fraud) and funding of Czech science. It also wants to remember one of the most important Czech scientists - physiologists - J. E. Purkyně, the founder of the Institute of Physiology of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University.

The course is two days long. It will take place in the winter semester from 2.11. 2023 - 3.11. 2023.
