The Vlasta and Ervín Adam Foundation announces nominations for awards for talented young scientists. Since 2013, these awards have been presented to two students or faculty members under the age of 35: the Vlasta Adamová Award for outstanding work in the field of oncology and hematology and the Ervín Adam Award for outstanding work of preventive significance for public health (in the areas of etiology, pathophysiology, diagnostics, and therapy).
Each award includes a diploma and a financial prize, which has been doubled this year to CZK 40,000. Eligible works are publications that have not yet received any other form of recognition and were either published or accepted for publication in the previous calendar year in an international journal with an impact factor above 2.0, ranked in quartiles Q1–Q3.
A nomination may be submitted by the candidate themselves, the head of an institute or clinic, or a researcher in the relevant field. The printed and signed application form, including the required attachment, must be submitted to Mgr. Marie Čapková, Assistant to the Dean of the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University.
