International Competition for Young Scientists and Innovators - Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic 2023

The Czech final of the international Falling Walls project will take place on 12 September 2023 at the National Technical Library in Prague. The deadline for applications is June 30, 2023. Applications should be submitted to Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic.

The aim of the international competition Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic is to bring together the next generation of brilliant scientists and innovators to come up with a breathtaking idea - a scientific project, business plan or social initiative that will break down all walls and barriers. Students at all levels are welcome, even Ph.D. and postdocs.

The winner of the national round will receive a cash prize of EUR 1,000 and will represent the Czech Republic at the global finals in Berlin on 7-9 November 2023.

The presentation of the competitors is in English in the format of a "pitch-talk", which is a maximum of three minutes long. It does not matter whether the topic is computing or medicine, economics or engineering, philosophy, robotics, chemistry, art or agriculture. The competition is open to anyone who is convinced of their idea and can convince others of it.

Falling Walls Lab in the Czech Republic is supported by the National Technical Library in cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Prague, the company xitee, CzechInvest, the Contact Office of the Free State of Saxony and the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria. Technical University of Liberec, Charles University, CEITEC BUT in Brno and CTU in Prague are the academic partners.
