Instructions for the 5th and 6th Year Medical Students

Welcome to the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. We would like to turn your attention to several aspects of your stay at our department.

General

• OB/GYN is a specific field of medicine; therefore, it is required to respect patients' privacy during the examinations.
• In order to make this rotation as beneficial as possible for you, we ask you to fully adhere to provided schedule, no changes of placement are allowed. This will prevent situations when too many students attend one place, which is usually not appreciated by our patients.
• For the practical part, please show up already dressed in white coats and appropriate shoes – you will often enter surgery and delivery rooms. Prior to your rotation, please read carefully instructions that are available on our website regarding your access to the surgery rooms.
   

Information about summer practice for the 5th year medical students

If you choose our department for your summer practice, please subscribe yourself well in advance at the secretary of the department. Any OB/GYN department in Czech Republic or abroad is eligible for your summer practice.

Attendance requirements

5th year

• You are allowed one day of absence. In case of longer absence (due to the illness), address the head of OB/GYN study program for the conditions of make up for absence.

6th year

• You are allowed three days of absence. In case of longer absence (due to the illness), address the head of OB/GYN study program for the conditions of make up for absence.
