This year's Rector's Special Prize was awarded to Florian Merkle, a sixth-year student of General Medicine (English parallel line) at the Second Faculty of Medicine for his remarkable civic responsibility and human selflessness.

On Wednesday 11 January 2017 the Dean will award the best international students with the Best International Medical Student Award and the Top Ten Percent Award.
