Scientific Conference at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine 2011

A highlight of academic life, students getting two days off, expanding educational horizons, something different from the typical working day: ‘The Scientific Conference of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine’ means something different for everyone. For the faculty it is undoubtedly an important event. What happened at the second VK FM in 2011? It is very difficult to summarize all the facts in a short article without subjective insights. Therefore, we decided to give the space a number of stakeholders, and to convey the atmosphere of the event as closely as possible.

Our editors, Kate Blanárová and Jaroslav Vrba, gave their views which you can read here (in Czech). Insights from their own lectures were provided in addition to the accompanying program which included ‘ECG: of love and anatomy’, ‘Motol Mile’ and about the after-party.

We have not forgotten the views of representatives constituting a majority of the audience – students. Their impressions can be found in a short poll here (in Czech). The student survey is created by Danka Humlová. She caught the whole spectrum of students, from freshmen to doctoral candidates, and chose their answers from the best.

If you would like to know what it is like to lecture in front of the 2nd Faculty community, or if you would like to compare their experience with another presenters, read about the experience from the other side of auditorium. Editor Jana Djakow shares her experience including the preparation of the presentations, and training events. You can read more here (in Czech).

The last part of the event was organized by Prof. Jan Trka. He addressed the promoters (in Czech) of the event, offered praise for participants involved. In his part of the article, you can also find a list of winners.
