The eminent German neuro-otologist Klaus Jahn is the keynote speaker at The Fourth Annual Neurootological Day. His research focuses on balance, gait disorders, dizziness and neurorehabilitation.

The Plzeňská campus is already in full use. Among other things, it houses the largest auditorium of the Second Faculty of Medicine. That is also one of the reasons why Prof. Václav Hampl from the Department of Physiology suggests that the auditorium should bear the name of the former vice-dean of the Second Faculty of Medicine and the person thanks to whom the faculty has its premises at Plzeňská Street in the first place, prof. Jan Herget.

Sandro Vadovič won the second year of the Robotics Olympics. He took advantage of the opportunity offered by the Second Faculty of Medicine and already in the 3rd year of his studies he obtained an internationally valid robotic assistant certificate.

Dr. Zuzana Střížová, prof. Jiřina Barůňková, Mgr. Jitka Smetanová and Dr. Linda Čapková are among the authors of a publication in the field of salivary gland cancer, awarded by the Czech Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.

The panel was, among other leading European experts, attended by doc. Lucie Šrámková, head of the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, with a contribution on the topic of Inequality in pediatric oncology care. 7/5/2023, Recording.

RNDr. Aneta Skotnicová, a PhD student from the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology of the Second Faculty of Medicine and Motol University Hospitaly, won 2nd place in the prestigious Albert Schweitzer scientific competition. The prize is awarded by the French Embassy in Prague.
