Spring is here, and along with it the 2. LF UK Scientific Conference (9–10 April 2014)

What do we have to look forward to this year? We have our regular hits (Motol EKG, the Motol Mile, the Festive Evening), our traditional exciting competition (who will win the prestigious and generously subsidised science prizes; who will take away the attractive prize for the most attentive listener?), and most importantly we're looking forward to a series of scientific lectures on a wide range of subjects.

The main speakers at the conference are two guests from abroad: first, Professor Michael Kopelman, a neuropsychologist from King's College London and a specialist in memory disorders. He will talk about these on the morning of Thursday 10th April (10.40). Our second guest, Dr Jozef Madžo, completed his doctoral studies in our faculty and is now a successful researcher in the field of oncology in the US. He will speak on 9th April (10.30) on the importance of epigenetic regulation for normal and malignant hematopoiesis.
