Second Faculty of Medicine Signs Two Partnerships in Israel

The agreements with both partners were signed by Prof Marek Babjuk, Dean of the Second Faculty of Medicine. Our students of the General Medicine programme, taught in both Czech and English, will be able to undertake internships within both partner organisations. The faculty has a long‑standing commitment to international collaboration and student mobility.

Clalit Health Services is Israel’s largest healthcare network, providing primary, secondary and specialist care for more than 4.6 million people through an extensive system of 14 hospitals and over 1,600 community‑based clinics and facilities. It is regarded as one of the world’s oldest public health organisations and combines wide‑ranging clinical services with strong technological and research capabilities, making it a major centre of medical innovation in Israel.

Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov) is Israel’s second‑largest hospital and the main medical centre serving the Tel Aviv metropolitan area. The complex brings together four major hospitals – including Ichilov General Hospital, Lis Maternity and Women’s Hospital, Dana‑Dwek Children’s Hospital and the Ida Sourasky Rehabilitation Hospital – and provides world‑class clinical care, teaching and research. It handles millions of outpatient visits annually and is affiliated with Tel Aviv University’s medical faculty.
