Additional Information on Medical Treatment obtained in the Czech Republic

Starting from 1 January 2008 the bellowmentioned regulation concerning international students – governmental scholarship students has come into force and shall be applied as follows:
 

  1. Payment of the regulation fee CZK 30,- for each visit of:
     
    • General Practitioner
    • Pediatrician
    • Gynaecologist
    • Specialist (i.e. Surgeon, Orthopaedist, Urologist, Neurologist, etc.)
    • Clinical Psychologist
    • Dentist
       
    Regulation fee shall not be paid in following cases:
    Preventive medical examination at the GP, gynaecologist and dentist
    Telephone consultancy of the physician and his/her patient
    Laboratory and diagnostic tests if required by the relevant physician (e.g. X-ray, sonograph, etc.)
    Prescription without clinical examination
     
  2. Payment of the regulation fee CZK 30,- in pharmacies:
     
    For each fully or partially reimbursed pharmaceutical
    If the physician prescribes two different pharmaceuticals on one prescription, the patient shall pay CZK 30,- separately for each, i.e. CZK 60,-
     
  3. Payment of the regulation fee CZK 60,-:
     
    For each day of inpatient treatment (hospitalization)
     
  4. Payment of the regulation fee CZK 90,-:
     
    Emergency services provided by the medical institute (during days off, working days from 17.00 till 7.00)
