Introduction

Departmental Focus:
 
The analysis of long term trends following the onset of infectious diseases, evaluation of vaccination programmes, cost analyses of programme prevention. Travel medicine.
The courses and publication activities focus on general epidemiology, epidemiological methods and their application in clinical praxis, principles and the uses of evidence based medicine.
In connection with specialization of the department´s research workers in the principles of clinical epidemiology and methodology: consulting and counselling in annotations of research plans, file creating, choice of design studies and the epidemiological aspects of the interpretation of their results.
