The curriculum of the summer professional training in Gynaecology and Obstetrics
Summer training should help the students to gain practical knowledge in gynaecology and obstetrics. If you choose our department for your summer practice, please subscribe yourself well in advance at the secretary of the department. Any OB/GYN department in Czech Republic or abroad is eligible for your summer practice
Duration – two weeks during summer holidays after the 5th year
Gynaecology
- gynaecological examinations under supervision of experienced gynaecologist
- taking history and writing report on admission of the patient and discharge from the hospital
- second assisting in abdominal surgeries
- second assisting in vaginal surgeries

assisting in minor surgeries
Obstetrics
- obstetrical examinations under supervision of the experienced gynaecologist specialised in this field
- taking history and writing reports on admission and discharge of the patient
- assisting at least in five deliveries

assisting in minor surgeries
A certificate on completion of the summer practice with the stamp of the particular department and a signature of the doctor responsible for the ward will be recorded in the student's index.
