Abstract

Although right ventricular (RV) dyssynchrony was previously identified as a possible cause of RV failure in patients with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) has rarely been reported as a treatment option. In this case, CRT by bifocal RV pacing induced sustained long-term improvement in RV function, enabling completion of Fontan palliation.
