This year's Rector's Special Prize was awarded to Florian Merkle, a sixth-year student of General Medicine (English parallel line) at the Second Faculty of Medicine for his remarkable civic responsibility and human selflessness. Florian Merkle initiatively organized from his own resources a fund to cover the tuition fees of his colleague from the English parallel line who was not able to cover it.
