Financial Aid for Students Eligible for Federal Student Aid - U.S. Department of Education

Welcome to the 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
 
The 2nd Faculty of Medicine is eligible to participate in student financial assistance programs authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (Title IV, HEA Programs).

By accepting admission to 2nd Faculty, students automatically consent to collection of personal data:
Sec. 600.55(c)(2) of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, requires a foreign graduate medical school to determine the consent requirements for, and require the necessary consents of, all students accepted for admission for whom the school must report to enable the school to comply with the collection and submission requirements in Sec. 600.55(d) for Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) scores, residency placement, U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) scores, and citizenship rate.

THE FINANCIAL AID PROCESS
 
New Incoming Students
 
In addition to completing the entrance procedures, students interested in receiving financial aid must:
 

  1. Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
    The school code for 2nd Faculty is G33003. Our OPE ID is 03300300.
     
  2. Submit Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) scores. All students accepted for admissions who are U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents must have taken the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) and reported their scores to the Chief Financial Aid Officer prior to admission.
     
  3. Complete Entrance Counseling.
    Entrance counseling is available through the StudentLoans.gov web site
     
  4. Complete Direct Loan Master Promissory Note(s) (MPN)
    Note: You must complete a separate MPN for Plus loans. You may complete Direct Loan MPNs electronically via the StudentLoans.gov Web site at https://studentloans.gov.
    To complete a Direct Loan MPN electronically, you must have a Federal Student Aid PIN. This is the same PIN used to complete the FAFSA.
     

All Students Receiving Financial Aid
 
Review and adhere to Satisfactory Academic Progress Regulations and Federal Student Aid - Return of Title IV Funds Policy.
 
On graduation, complete Exit Counseling
 
Reminder for returning students:
 
You must complete a FAFSA every year along with MPN(s).
